Best At: Medium sized daily tasks and serving. I’m reversible, so you can use either side of me for all your prepping, dicing, and serving needs. What sets me apart is my built-in signature Cracker Well (a Sonder LA original circa 2017), which can be used as a catch for diced items during meal prep, but is also perfectly sized to hold crackers, sliced baguettes, or any accompaniments you don’t want rolling off your board like nuts, olives, or berries. Most people use my flat side for dicing and prep and my Cracker Well side for serving, but the choice is completely up to you!

Likes: Selfies, parties, catching up with you and your friends over brunch, game night, and regular spa treatments every 3 weeks (mineral oil or beeswax only, please!).

Dislikes: Dishwashers, baths, or anything involving submersion in water or steam, and serrated knives, which can cause me to splinter. Also, the stove and my family are in a lifelong feud, so please don’t store me directly next to or on top of him; I just can’t stand the heat.

Behind the Name: I’m named after the band Motley Crue, which was founded here in my hometown Los Angeles! My name also literally means varied appearance or character, which is fitting because I’m made of three unique wood species.

Care: Some maintenance; I’m great for first time board owners and advanced owners alike. Given my dark complexion, I am more susceptible to beauty marks left by knives, but these only add to my character over time and can be mellowed with regular spa treatments.
