Sonder Definition: the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness

Our story began with a cutting board. Well, really a lack thereof. Unable to find the perfect board that combined beauty, functionality, and affordability, we decided to create our own.

All of our designs are original and start on paper. Designed meticulously over several months, each piece reflects Tiffany's eye for design and Tarek's perfectionism. Our products blend everyday utility with timeless elegance.  Welcome to a new standard in kitchen essentials, welcome to the Sonder LA family.

Fun facts: Tiffany is a trained dancer and expert multitasker who would eat Brazilian cheese bread everyday if she could. Meet Tarek. Idea Machine and Co-Founder of Sonder Los Angeles. Fun Facts: Tarek is a trained actor and obsessed with peanut butter and whiskey (apart and sometimes together).

All of our designs are original and start on paper. Each design takes up to 10 months to prototype, test, revise, and perfect before we get it into your hands.We believe products should be displayed and celebrated rather than hidden away. We are total workaholics. So an occasional song and dance break-out is necessary to keep us sane!
