Just hand wash with warm water and mild soap—harsh soaps with alcohol (like Dawn Powerwash) can strip the wood’s natural oils, causing it to dry out. Then towel dry before propping the board on its end to fully air dry from there. Don't soak it or throw it in the dishwasher; teak may be tough, but it's not invincible.
We recommend using a food-grade mineral oil and beeswax blend for an easy, all-in-one solution. Avoid cooking oils like olive, avocado, and others, as they can go rancid and damage the wood. Because teak boards are naturally lower maintenance thanks to their natural oils, we recommend oiling them at least every 3 weeks to keep them in optimal condition.
