Rich. Sturdy. Tall. Dark. Wait…this isn’t a dating profile. But if it were, I’d be the walnut end grain cutting board to swipe right on. I’m made right here in the USA, where my parents hand-select only the highest-quality hardwood, crafted in small batches.

I live for big jobs because I’m built to work from all angles, whether BBQ, carving, or chopping. You’ll never be bored with me thanks to my built-in juice groove side that holds up to 4.5 oz of liquid, perfect for juicy prep or slicing steak (which, by the way, looks amazing on me). Flip me over, and my flat side is ready for kneading dough, rolling out pasta, or serving finger foods. I also come with removable rubber feet on both sides, so no matter how tough the task, I’ll stay steady. So, go ahead—slice, dice, mince, chop, and carve your heart out; I’m a professional, meaning as your cutting board, I won’t break a sweat.

Likes: Iron Chef, carnivores (meet your new meat board BFF), long walks to the backyard, working out new recipes that include carving, chopping, BBQs and everything in between —plus, anything that makes my walnut end grain design the center of attention.

Dislikes: Dishwashers, baths, or anything involving submersion in water or steam (see our FAQs for details). Also, the stove and my family are in a lifelong feud, so please don’t store me directly next to or on top of him—I just can’t stand the heat.

Safe & Non-Toxic: Free of BPA, phthalates, and formaldehyde, I’m proud to be part of a non-toxic cutting board family.

Care: Please hand wash me only. Oil me every two weeks with food-grade mineral oil or beeswax. Find my full care instructions here.

High Quality Cutting Board

I've had this cutting board in my "save for later" for over a year. I finally purchased it to use for meats. Once it arrived, I was happy to see that it arrived undamaged. The walnut is high quality. Heavy. Smooth. I couldn't be more happy with this purchase. I purchased John Boos beeswax and oil to care for the board. Its a beautiful board and looks great on the counter as well.

Good company

I was pretty excited to get this cutting board. It's made in America and it’s simply beautiful with the matrix of the end pieces. More than I could afford, but it was too pretty to turn down. The board was smooth except for a small rough spot on the surface in the corner. Returned it. Sonder did reach out to make good on the purchase, but I already returned it and bought a different one. I did not know Sonder has a 1 year guarantee on their boards or I would have worked with them, as they seem like a very good small company. I would recommend them for purchase of their boards with the guarantee they offer and personalized service.

Customer feedback

Recently purchased this item and had a warranty issue. The company was excellent to deal with, and the minor problem was dealt with quickly.I don’t have a fancy kitchen, but in my retirement years cooking is a neat hobby, and a connection to family. These folks seem to appreciate the value in that.Highest recommendation.

Beautiful cutting board

Gorgeous butcher block cutting board! No blemishes or separation upon receiving it. This thing is BIG. Should last a long time with plenty of care. Just wish they made a mini version for quick cuts
