Size: 15" Round, 1.5" Thick; the first round board in the Sonder LA Family!
Weight: 6 lbs
Wood Family: Sustainably sourced teak
Construction: End grain
Features: Juice groove
Inspired by old-school butcher blocks, my parents designed me as a chopping board with all the functional reliability of my ancestors, but with a sleek modern silhouette that fits on your counter. I’m a rich and sturdy end grain teak cutting board, and, unlike a lot of traditional butcher blocks, am reversible! With a capacity of up to 3.5 oz, my juice groove side will keep your counters dry during any kind of liquid-heavy endeavors (think slicing juicy tomatoes for pizza night), but is especially useful when carving and serving pieces of meat like steak, roast, chicken, or pork chops. My other side is completely flat, so choose your own adventure or keep it classic: I look great as a cheese serving board.
Likes: Bobby Flay, steak night, finger foods. Also, in case you didn’t notice, I am the perfect shape to serve pizza on. Together, we can make all your teak-end grain cutting board dreams come true!
Dislikes: Dishwashers, baths, or anything involving submersion in water or steam. See our FAQs for more deets. Also, the stove and my family are in a lifelong feud, so please don’t store me directly next to or on top of him; I just can’t stand the heat.
Safe & Non-Toxic: Free of BPA, phthalates, and formaldehyde, I’m proud to be part of a non-toxic cutting board family.
Care: Please hand wash me only. Oil me every 3 weeks with food-grade mineral oil or beeswax. Find my full care instructions here.
My parents named me after St. Vincent Court in Downtown LA, previously a part of St. Vincent’s College (now Loyola Marymount University). Known for its carefully laid bricks and distinct European aura, my parents thought it resembled my end grain construction quite well!
