I’m the teak wood cutting board that’s not afraid to get dirty. On one side, I’ve got a 5 oz juice groove ready and willing to keep your counters dry during any kind of liquid-heavy endeavor, such as cutting up big, juicy fruits (lookin’ at you, watermelon) or carving brisket, ham, and turkey. My other side is completely flat, perfect for choosing your own adventure (I like kneading dough and whipping up homemade pasta).
Oh! And I am a BOSS at BBQs! I really impress when it comes to meats, steaks, and anything grill-related. Plus, you can use my built-in handles to bring me from the grill or smoker right to the table.
Likes: Cookouts, large gatherings, hashing out new recipes, The Great British Bake Off, and regular spa treatments every three weeks (mineral oil or beeswax only, please!).
Dislikes: Dishwashers, baths, or anything involving submersion in water or steam (see our FAQs for details). Also, the stove and my family are in a lifelong feud, so please don’t store me directly next to or on top of him—I just can’t stand the heat.

What’s in a name?
Highland, by definition, means an elevated or mountainous land. Since I am the largest board in my family, my parents thought it would be a suitable name. It also happens to be a street in Los Angeles!
