Best At: Small to medium-sized daily tasks for large households or any task for small households of 1-2. We love being used to cutting up fruits, veggies, and filets, or serve small meals like bagels or pastries. We also really shine at the “in-between” stuff like snack time or appetizers. As our name suggests, we’re a duo so we work well together, but are equally good at working apart.

Special Skills: We slay as a breakfast plate or small fruit and cheese platter for 2. We’re also reversible.

Likes: Long sits on the counter, new recipes, get-togethers with you or your friends, and regular spa treatments every 3 weeks (mineral oil or beeswax only, please!).

Dislikes: Dishwashers, baths, or anything involving submersion in water or steam. Also, the stove and my family are in a lifelong feud, so please don’t store us directly next to or on top of him; we just can’t stand the heat.

Behind the Name: Before there was Hollywood, there was oil. We're named after Edward Laurence Doheny, an American oil tycoon who in 1892 drilled the first successful well in Los Angeles. This kicked off a petroleum boom in Los Angeles, which vastly contributed to the growth and expansion of the city.
