I’m handcrafted in small batches right here in the USA from sustainably sourced American Black Walnut. My parents take special care in hand-selecting only the highest quality hardwood when making me so that I can perform well for you and look good while doing it.

Looks don’t have to be deceiving. I am a professional cutting board, through and through, for chopping, slicing, and dicing. One of my sides features three built-in compartments to make prep work easier. But can I let you in on a secret? Carving and serving meats directly from the grill is one of my favorite things. Chicken, pork chops, ribs, steaks—I can handle it all.  Just ask my removable rubber feet, which keep me steady through any carving session, and my 3.5 oz capacity juice groove, ready to catch all the delicious drippings.

Need another reason to love me? Well, okay: I’ll be your knife’s new BFF!  My end-grain construction means my wood fibers face up, keeping your blades sharper for longer while offering a dreamy cutting experience.

Likes: Salt Bae, long walks to the grill, wine and cheese nights (where I’m the charcuterie board of choice), supper clubs, and any opportunity to show off how good a walnut end grain cutting board can be.

Dislikes: Dishwashers, baths, or anything involving submersion in water or steam (see our FAQs for details). Also, the stove and my family are in a lifelong feud, so please don’t store me directly next to or on top of him—I just can’t stand the heat.

Safe & Non-Toxic: Free of BPA, phthalates, and formaldehyde, I’m proud to be part of a non-toxic cutting board family.

Care: Please hand wash me only. Oil me every two weeks with food-grade mineral oil or beeswax. Find my full care instructions here.

What’s in a Name?

I am named after one of my parent’s favorite local coffee shops here in Los Angeles: Alfred Coffee! It also happens to be a street name in their neighborhood.
