Vincent Cutting Board

$69.95 $79.95

Size: 15" Round, 1.5" Thick; the first round board in the Sonder LA Family!

Weight: 6 lbs

Wood Family: Sustainably Sourced Teak

Best At: The daily grind and meat carving. Inspired by old school butcher blocks, my parents designed me with all the functional reliability of my ancestors, but with a sleek modern silhouette that fits on your counter. I’m made of rich and sturdy end grain Teak, and, unlike a lot of traditional butcher blocks, am reversible! With a capacity of up to 3.5 oz, my juice groove side will keep your counters dry during any kind of liquid heavy endeavors, but is especially useful when carving and serving pieces of meat like steak, roast, chicken, or pork chops. My other side is completely flat, which is ideal when you need an uninterrupted surface for dicing your veggies for meal prep or serving foods like pizza, tear and share loafs, bread bowls, and more!

Special Skills: I’ll be your knife’s new BFF! I’m different than most of my other brothers and sisters because I’m an end grain constructed board. My wood fibers are facing up allowing each slice of your blade to go in between these fibers rather than through them. Translation? I keep your blades sharper for longer, and am very dreamy to cut on!

Likes: Bobby Flay, steak night, finger foods, dinner in the round, and regular spa treatments every 3 weeks (mineral oil or beeswax only, please!).

Dislikes: Dishwashers, baths, or anything involving submersion in water or steam, and serrated or electric carving knives, which can cause me to splinter. Also, the stove and my family are in a lifelong feud, so please don’t store me directly next to or on top of him; I just can’t stand the heat.

Safe & Non-Toxic: Free of BPA, phthalates, and formaldehyde.

Behind the Name: My parents named me after St. Vincent Court in Downtown LA, previously a part of St. Vincent’s College (now Loyola Marymount University). Known for its carefully laid bricks and distinct European aura, my parents thought it resembled my end grain construction quite well!

Care: I’m ideally suited for an experienced owner; however, I love the opportunity to show new owners how great I can be when well cared for. I am more thirsty than my edge grain brothers and sisters and require regular spa treatments to keep me at the top of my game. For detailed care instructions click here.
